The Story Session has approved a mission trip to Fairmont, West Virginia, this July. This location comes highly recommended. Faith Presbyterian (PCA) in Morganton has sent teams there the last eleven years!

Some info about Fairmont: it is well suited for those with no previous mission trip experience; it is good for junior- and senior-high students and families with small children; it involves repairing and painting homes needing some work; other ministry opportunities include VBS, sports camps, backyard Bible clubs, day camps, camp kitchen support, tutoring, one-on-one evangelism, and distribution of food and school supplies.

This will be a time of living out the Gospel in practical ways. There will be opportunities to grow in personal faith while encouraging others to grow in Christ.

The Story team will work in partnership with Christ Community Church (PCA) serving their community. Jason Tippetts will lead the team.

Team members will stay at Dayspring Camp near Fairmont in cabins with single and bunk beds. Meals are provided.

The cost is $465 per person with family discounts available - with one parent/spouse attending, $100 off for spouses and teens (12-18); $100 off for young people 6-11; and a cost of $75 for children 5 and under. There is money budgeted for misssion trips in the church budget which should help bring the cost down. Also, the Story missions committee will sponsor a fund-raising meal in the Fellowship Hall that will also help with expenses.

The tentative dates for the trip are from Saturday, July 24, to Saturday, July 31. If you have not been on a mission trip and had the special experience of serving Christ in mission work or if you have been on a mission trip and want to have that wonderful experience once again, please prayfully consider going to Fairmont with the Story team.
